Before you fill in the Adoption Application, note that you will be required to meet the dog in person. Many of our dogs are located in Ontario, Canada. It is in your best interest to fill in the form with as much detail as possible. We can then match the right dog to your lifestyle.
Fostering is a very rewarding experience and important to the success of dogs in our program. By volunteering to become a foster home, you are the bridge that allows a pet to become an adopted, cherished member of a family.
Fostering for our standard poodle rescue is simple, although it does require commitment. Foster parents need to agree to: treat the dog as part of the family, bring the dog to meetings with prospective adopters, and use only SPIN authorized veterinarians if vet care is needed.
With a strong team of committed volunteers SPIN is able to do so much more for poodles in need. Opportunities to volunteer for our standard poodle rescue vary from participating in fundraisers, to driving dogs to the vet, to helping with a meet and greet, to picking up donated items, to undertaking a home visit. We are always grateful for any help we receive.
If you are looking to surrender your dog, please fill in the intake Form with as much detail as possible. This will help us assess and place your dog in the best available foster home equipped to manage any physical, emotional or behavioural needs. If you have any questions, we are here to help and will walk you through the entire process.
Please note that we are based in Canada and rarely take dogs in from outside the country.
